Baking methods used to prepare the quick biscuit cake recipe

  • The method that I used to prepare the cake is by preparing a gas oven i.e. baking the cake in an Idli maker by spreading a layer of salt at the base of it. Preheat the Idli maker by covering it for five minutes. After that put the cake in the steamer and bake for around 10 to 25 minutes depending on the size of the container.
  • This cake can also be prepared by steaming in the Idli container just like idlis. The method is the same just like idli if you wish to prepare it by the steaming method. Just pour some water in idli maker and when the water starts to boil just put the prepared idli batter into it and steam for around 15 minutes depending on the size of the container.
  • You can also bake this cake in a preheated oven or in OTG at 180 degree celcius for about 25 minutes.

Icing Ideas for the quick biscuit cake recipe

It’s not at all required to do the icing of the cake because the simple cake prepared by this method is so flavorful and delicious that you want nothing fancy like cream to complete it. As I’ve prepared this cake for the occasion of Valentine so to make the cake look more beautiful I have done icing.

I have used soy cream icing on this biscuit cake that I have made. I like soy cream to icing on my cakes because it does not melt and perfect for Indian weather. The shelf life of this cream is also very good plus there is no need to add any flavour or sugar in the cream. Just beat the cream with an electric beater for about 10minutes and the icing is good to use.

Red heartbeat sign on the cake is made by mix fruit jam. Just beat the jam with a spoon in a container for about a minute and your homemade glaze is ready for the decoration of cake.
