Love Jamuns <3 These beauties tastes sour and sweet. So distinct flavour, absolutely delicious in taste. On summer holidays, I remember to enjoy these delicious fresh plums straight plucked from trees. Best enjoyed when sprinkled with black salt. To bring back the magic of those days I prepared this jamun ka panna drink.

Jamun aka Java plums has incredible health benefits. Especially for diabetic patients, it is advised to eat few Jamuns first thing in the morning because it balances out sugar levels in our body. Also an excellent source of vitamin C, hello fresh skin 🙂

I’ve tried to make jamun ka panna, the same way aam ka or mango panna is made and surprisingly it turns out the most refreshing drink ever. At first, the idea of this drink does not sound much good, but once I tried the drink. It’s unbelievable. Much much better than any store-bought drink.
Let’s see how to prepare the drink:
First of all boil, jamun aka Java plums, water and sugar in a bowl (can skip the sugar if want to).

After cooling this at normal temperature, strain this concoction properly through a strainer.

Now refrigerate the drink and serve chilled by adding lemon juice, jeera powder, black salt, mint leaves and ice 🙂

Enjoy this easy-breezy, healthy and refreshing summer drink. You can also try to make the fizzy version of the same drink. Or prepare the Jamun or Java plum mocktail from the same drink.
How? Let me show you. You just need to take a glass and fill fifty per cent of it with this jamun drink and the rest fifty per cent with soda. Stir and serve chilled with ice cubes. The homemade mocktail is ready to serve 🙂 Cool na!! A must-try.
