Whole Green Gram Moong dal is one of the best protein sources for vegetarians. Sprouting them even further increase the nutritional value. This quick, healthy and tasty salad can be a great addition to your meal so do give it a try. You can make own version of this tasty moong salad, just toss some favourite fruits or veggies to this along with a dressing of your choice. I like lemon juice and little Indian seasoning “chaat masala” to the salad and voila. The salad is ready.
How to make Sprouts Salad
- Soak overnight green gram in enough water. To make sprouts of green gram, you can wrap soaked green gran in a wet cotton cloth and hang or keep in a bowl for around 7-8 hours.
- Instead of a sprouted green gram or moong, you can also use overnight soaked green gram in the recipe.
- Now in a bowl add sprouted green gram or overnight soaked green gram along with pomegranate, grated carrot, and chopped cucumber.
- Add lemon juice, salt, and chaat masala as per taste to it. Serve along with lunch, dinner or eat anytime as a snack. Enjoy!!
Soft, crunchy, tangy, delicious and nutritious salad is ready. You can steam or pressure cook slightly the sprouts or soaked lentil if you don’t like the raw one. But because the nutrition value in uncooked sprouts is more I like it that way.
