Quick Cucumber and Basil Chutney Recipe

Hi!! Hope you’re doing well. So today’s recipe is very delicious cucumber and basil green chutney.

I know you might be thinking that cucumber really doesn’t have that much of taste, then is the chutney going to taste good. But don’t worry this chutney made from cucumber is packed with flavours even better than your regular staple coriander green chutney.

Also, this delicious chutney is very easy to make and does not require any cooking time like other chutneys. A little chopping and pulsing are required and our tasty chutney is prepared. Even an amateur cook can easily create this one with the simplest of ingredients.

This chutney goes great with anything like cutlets, fritters, samosa, sandwiches and many more. A best staple, instant green chutney recipe in case you don’t have coriander or mint available at your home.

A quick solution just pulse cucumber along with few spices and green chillies and our instant green chutney is ready. And one thing is sure after that, your guests will definitely going to ask the chutney recipe that you have prepared 🙂 They’ll love it.

  • First of all, you need to peel the cucumber and wash the basil leaves and green chillies properly.
  • Then roughly chop the cucumber and put it into mixer grinder along with basil leaves and green chillies.
  • Now add the salt, black salt, sugar, cumin seeds and raw mango powder into the mixer grinder as well.
  • Pulse it properly and our instant green chutney is ready to serve.

Instructions
  1. Peel the cucumber properly and roughly chop it.
  2. Rinse the basil leaves properly and put into the mixer grinder along with chopped cucumber and green chillies.
  3. You can also add coriander leaves into this chutney in place of basil leaves incase you don't have them.
  4. Add salt, sugar, cumin seeds, black salt and raw mango powder into the mixer grinder as well.
  5. Pulse it properly and our instant cucumber and basil green chutney are ready to serve.
Recipe Notes

NOTES:

  1. In case you don't have basil leaves with you, you can also add coriander leaves or mint leaves in the above recipe in place of basil leaves.
  2. In case you don't have raw mango powder or amchoor powder with you, then fresh lemon juice can also be added in the above recipe in place of it.
  3. Jaggery can be added in the above recipe in place of sugar.
